With an amazing beach setting, super sweet couple, gorgeous Hayley Paige Dress and dream team of vendors, Melody + Robert’s Laguna wedding was such a pleasure to work on. They shared the day with their sweet pups, clad in festive bow ties – adorable!
Here at Harmony Creative Studio, we work with tons of couples that are either originally from the Los Angeles area (or have family here) but no longer live here, or are planning a destination wedding in beautiful Southern California. Melody and Robert live in Minnesota, where they both moved for work, but her family is here and they both wanted a beach setting for their event. Planning a wedding from afar is a challenge, so many couples love the ease we bring to the planning process by doing most of the heavy lifting (and driving, and emailing, and meeting with vendors, and on and on) for them here.
The Ritz Carlton, Laguna Niguel is such a breath-taking venue – and their cliff side ceremony did not disappoint. Melody wanted to incorporate a traditional Chinese Tea ceremony into their vows, which took a little figuring out and practice during the rehearsal – but the end result was so beautiful to watch. The bride also changed into a traditional Qipao (ceremonial red dress) for cake cutting and photos with guests – we love when our couples incorporate traditional elements into modern weddings.
The resort’s beach location below was the perfect spot for some portraits. I always love getting back film photos along with digital, check out all the beauty below from Jon Cu Photos – so good! You can also check out the fabulous video of their day from Knot and Gown films HERE.
