We love a DTLA wedding – and we love working at the awesome white brick warehouse venue HNYPT. Each year I try to stretch myself and work those creative muscles showing a fave venue in a new light. Starting with the ideal of modern wedding pastels, this wedding inspiration was a break from the usual minimal + neutral color palette Harmony Creative Studio is know for. Truly, I love thinking about color in a new and fresh way – so adding in some not-to-typical tones such as fuschia and taupe along with more traditional ‘pastels’ hit just the right note!

We worked with Minted to get just the right colors for their semi-custom invitation design. Such a fun and easy way for couples to personalize their invites without breaking the bank. To let the florals on our organic table shine, we custom made menus and place cards out of vellum + cardstock to match the vibe of the invites. These are a good representation of how everything for your wedding doesn’t have to match exactly – just as long as it’s cohesive and all in the same vein.

We had two beautiful models dressed in fun dresses and a gorge jumpsuit from Floravere. Whimsical yet modern, they were a perfect fit for this concept. We love their try-at –home business model, essentially allowing the trunk shows to come directly to the bride so she can try on what she wants in the comfort of her own home. Who wants to have a private dress fashion show!?

Layering the updated color palette against the perfect whitewash brick of Los Angeles venue HNYPT was always first and foremost in my mind, along with utilizing the great height in the space. I had a vision of a ceremony stripped bare focusing on long silk strips of color and Shindig Chic made it happen to incredibly! Paring the color with clear ghost chairs elevates the feeling to something fashion-forward and chic instead of feeling juvenile.  This same feeling was also brought into the fabulous seating chart they created.
